Is the deposit refundable?
Yes. The deposit charged upon your initial checkout will be refunded at the end of your trial period, whether you upgrade to the full size or not.
How long is my trial period?
You have 15 days to try your sample. Before the end of your trial period, you’ll receive email reminders that your trial period is almost over. At the end of the trial period, if you don’t adjust your order or choose to opt-out, your full product will be shipped and you’ll be charged the full price.
When does my trial period start?
Your trial period begins 7 days after your sample order is placed. This is our standard delivery time for samples.
How will I know that my trial period has started?
You will receive an email notification 7 days after your Try Before You Order has been placed.
The email will include a link to your Customer Portal order page which will include details about your order, including a countdown timer for your trial period so you know when it expires.
What if my sample item has not arrived within 7 days of my order?
If you do not receive your sample within 7 business days, please reach out to us at info@ubeauty.com to extend your trial.
How many items can I try at once?
You may try up to one sample at a time. Please note that once you have placed a sample order, you will not be eligible to sample that specific item again.
Can I check out with both a Try Before You Buy sample item and a regular purchase in the same order?
Yes, you can check out with a mixed cart that includes both a sample item and a regular purchase. At the time of purchase, you will only be charged up-front for the non-sample item.
When my sample is upgraded, what size is it upgraded to?
When you purchase a Try Before You Buy sample you will be automatically sent the size that was selected when the sample was added to your cart. If the product you are sampling has different sizes and you want to change this selection, follow the link in your order confirmation email to open the Customer Portal and change your selection.
How do I opt out of purchasing the full size?
During your trial period follow the link in your order confirmation email to open the Customer Portal and opt out of the full-size purchase.
Who is eligible for Try Before You Buy?
Our Try Before You Buy program is only available for customers shipping to the United States.
How do I return non-sample items in my Try Before You Buy order?
For any non-sample items you do not wish to keep, simply email us with your order number and the item(s) you’d like to return at info@ubeauty.com or use this form, within 60 days of purchase. We will provide return authorization and shipping instructions.
Shipping costs incurred for returns will be the responsibility of the customer. All refunds will be issued to the original form of payment within 10 business days of receipt. Shipping charges will not be refunded.

Why do I need to provide my credit card information when checking out?
Your credit card will not be charged for any Try Before You Buy items when initially checking out, just the refundable deposit; however, we still ask for your payment details so that we may process payment for any full-size upgrade after your trial period.
Why do I see a charge authorization on my credit card statement when initially checking out?
For some orders (especially first-time orders), a temporary authorization charge may be processed to verify the validity of the credit card. The charges can vary from $1 - $100 depending on the total order value.
Note that this charge is automatically and immediately canceled, but may remain visible as a pending 'authorization charge' for a few business days. Authorization charges are never held for longer than a few seconds and should be removed from your statement within a few days of being processed.

Can I use a discount code?
Yes, you can use a discount code with Try Before You Buy. You will have the option to enter in your discount code on the second page of checkout after you’ve entered in your shipping address. If you do not opt out of the full-size purchase, we’ll apply the code at the end of your trial period.
Is my Try Before You Buy order eligible for a Gift with Purchase (when available)?
If U Beauty offers a Gift with Purchase on orders of a specified minimum amount, your Try Before You Buy order will qualify for a free gift if it contains at least that minimum amount worth of non-sample items.
